Japandi Entry with an Aubergine Plaster Wall and Cedar Slats

현관 · Japandi

One step above the pebble-gray tiled shoe zone at the closed apartment door, an aubergine plaster wall becomes the focal plane of the interior hall. Vertical cedar slats are integrated into the end of the shoe cabinet, defining the boundary between pale wood storage and the color wall while leaving the door and entry route clear.

Reproduction core

  1. 01Use one clear rise between the lowered shoe floor and timber interior floor so the threshold sequence is physically legible.
  2. 02Treat the light cedar storage as one continuous wall to hide shoes and outgoing items and stabilize the narrow corridor's vertical line.
  3. 03End the storage with vertical slats to soften its large corner and create a filtered rhythm between timber and plum wall.
  4. 04Keep the oxblood plaster to one opposite plane; its deep warmth counters the light wood without adding decoration.
  5. 05Allow only one open niche for a small daily object and hide everything else behind doors so the entry retains transition space.
