Dry Powder Room with Sea-Green Tile and a Coral Mirror

Powder room · Resort

A one-person dry powder room connected sideways to the dressing suite of a weekend home near Gangneung. A teak vanity, sea-green tiled wall, round coral mirror, and shallow reeded-glass cabinet face each other.

Dry Powder Room with Sea-Green Tile and a Coral Mirror · Overview

Reproduction core

  1. 01Align the basin, teak base cabinet, and round coral mirror precisely on the center axis of the front tiled wall.
  2. 02Show handcrafted tile as a finished interior wall with grout, returned side walls, an upper lighting junction, and a complete counter junction.
  3. 03Install only a shallow reeded-glass accessory cabinet opposite the vanity, not a shower partition.
  4. 04Use coral only for the mirror frame and reeded-cabinet pulls; do not extend it onto walls, floors, or large furniture surfaces.
  5. 05Reveal dressing storage and a bench through the clean opening to the left of the vanity while keeping the floor continuous at one level.

Apply it at home

Condition to check

Reduce cabinet depth to 180–220 mm and retain at least 750 mm clear in front of the vanity.
Condition to check
When daylight from the dressing suite is weak
Adjustment
Add diffused concealed lighting above the tiled wall or behind the mirror to reduce facial shadows.

Keep only frequent-use items on the open lower shelf and organize the rest on shallow shelves inside the reeded-glass cabinet.
Condition to check
When the budget does not allow full handcrafted tile coverage
Adjustment
Tile only the vanity wall and needed side returns, then finish adjacent walls in matching matte moisture-resistant paint.
Condition to check

Adjustment
Use a matte water-resistant oil on teak and retain a slim silicone joint around the basin.
