What this work covers
This engineered wood flooring is bonded directly to the concrete substrate. The finished boards can look simple and continuous, but their long-term performance depends on a dry, clean, level base, even adhesive coverage, movement space at the perimeter, and careful transitions at frames, stone thresholds, and built-in furniture.
When this work is needed
It suits living rooms and bedrooms where a warmer feel and timber appearance matter. Do not install it directly over unresolved floor moisture or pronounced unevenness. In frequently wet or high-maintenance areas, compare the practical trade-offs with SPC and vinyl sheet flooring.
Decide before installation
Set the substrate and edge details at the same time as the board colour.
- Board product, laying direction, batch quantity, and spare boards for each area
- How floor moisture, high spots, and low spots will be measured and corrected
- Transitions at door frames, entrance stone, built-in furniture, and adjoining finishes
- Perimeter movement allowance and when furniture and underfloor heating may return to use
