A system window combines the frame, glass, tracks, locks, and rubber seals around a specific way of opening. It may slide, swing inward, or tilt at the top for ventilation, so the first choice is how the window needs to move in the room.

When a large view and easy opening both matter
It can suit a large living-room window or a bedroom or study when you want a wide view, a firm close, and a useful choice between full opening and partial ventilation.
- Large living-room windows where the view and a firm close are both important
- Heavy glass that needs tracks and locks designed to move it smoothly
- Rooms where full opening and partial ventilation suit different parts of the day
Complex opening methods can add cost and maintenance without improving a small window. An inward-opening window can also become awkward if furniture or curtains are in its way.
- Small windows with no clear comfort problem are being upgraded to a more complicated product
- Furniture, curtains, or blinds would block an inward-opening window
- The quote does not identify the model, opening method, glass, locks, or tracks
A question from INBOT
Choose how the window moves before comparing ratings
The opening method changes the space you need, the force at the handle, how you ventilate, and how you reach the glass for cleaning.
- Which opening method fits daily life?
- A window that lifts slightly before sliding suits a wide living-room opening. A window that swings inward and also tilts at the top can make ventilation and cleaning easier. Try a full-size display before deciding.
- Where does it press closed around the frame?
- Turn the handle and see whether locks engage at several points and press the rubber seals evenly around the window. Uneven pressure can leave a draft even when the window looks shut.
- Can a heavy window be adjusted later?
- Check that the tracks, wheels, or hinges suit the glass weight, and find out who will correct sagging or a difficult lock after installation and supply replacement parts later.

A question from INBOT
Put the opening method and final adjustment in the quote
The same window can feel very different if the handle, tracks, or frame are out of line, so the product and installation need to be specified together.
- Record the exact model and opening method, whole-window heat-loss and draft-control ratings, frame details, and glass layers.
- Write down the glass weight, handle height, opening range, and ventilation position, then check the screen, railing, curtains, and blinds against real dimensions.
- Separate removal of the old window, filling around the new frame, drainage below it, rain protection outside, and the finish on both sides of the wall.
- After installation, check that the frame is level and the window presses evenly closed, then keep the contact details for the company that will adjust the tracks, hinges, locks, and rubber seals.

A question from INBOT
Adjust the tracks and locks before forcing the window
A small amount of sag can make a heavy window harder to move and prevent it from sealing evenly, so stiffness is worth checking early.
- Remove dust from the tracks and drain openings, and check that the rubber seals and brushes have not come loose.
- If the window sags, the handle becomes stiff, or the locks no longer line up, request a professional adjustment.
- Repair cracked edge seals and loose finishes around the frame when you first notice leaks or drafts.
