Support each light, switch, extractor, or appliance while releasing its connections so cables and pipes are not pulled out with the unit. Photograph the original terminals and store reusable equipment and fittings by room and service. - Insulate and confirm handoff

Insulate remaining cables by circuit and return them safely to an enclosure. Cap gas and water connections with the correct fittings, test retained circuits, record every exposed service, and hand the information directly to the incoming electrical or mechanical trade.
Where problems usually start
