What this work covers
General appliance setup brings refrigerators, laundry equipment, televisions, and water purifiers through the finished home without damage, places them for everyday use, and completes power, water, waste, and wall fixing. Each product needs a different handover check: door swing, ventilation, level and vibration, water leakage, structural support, and future service access.
When this work is needed
It happens near move-in, after floors, walls, and cabinets are finished. For a refrigerator or laundry recess, check more than the body width. Doors and drawers need room to open, plugs and valves must remain reachable, and heat and vibration need clearance to escape without damaging the furniture.
Plan before delivery
List every appliance, then mark its delivery route, operating space, and required services on the plan.
- Packed dimensions through the entrance, lift, and corridors, turning space, and continuous floor and frame protection
- Refrigerator and garment-care door direction, wall and cabinet clearance, ventilation, and socket access
- Washer and dryer arrangement, level adjustment, waste route, and space to isolate vibration
- Television height and wall reinforcement with cable management, plus water and waste for purifiers and food disposers

What to check on site
Clear and protect the route before delivery, then test each product by the actions used in daily life.

Use packed dimensions to confirm the route through the entrance, corridors, and lift, and protect floors and frames continuously. At each final position, identify sockets and water points and mark the full swing of refrigerator drawers and laundry-room doors. - Kitchen and Laundry Appliances Seated
Set refrigerators and garment-care appliances with ventilation and door clearance. Level washers and dryers so they cannot rock, connect hoses without kinks or tension, and watch every cable and hose as the units move back into place. - TV, Water Purifier, Initial Tests, and Cleanup Complete
Fix the television bracket into reinforcement or sound structure, hang the screen, and check level and movement. Run water through purifiers and food disposers while viewing every joint. Test power, doors, noise, and vibration for all appliances, then inspect the finished floor and remove packaging.
Where problems usually start
- A refrigerator door straining against the wall A recess can fit the body yet block the door arc, repeatedly loading the hinge and preventing internal drawers from being removed.
- A television bracket without structural support Anchors placed only in plasterboard or away from the planned reinforcement can tilt and fail under a large screen.
- Dents and scratches along the delivery route Dragging heavy equipment or rolling it over grit and construction debris marks a finished timber floor before anyone notices the obstruction.
- A hidden leak below the purifier A small inlet leak left unchecked during water flow can soak a sink cabinet and flooring and create swelling and mould.
Do not finish the handover with a same-day power check. Revisit refrigerator temperature after it stabilises, washer level and drainage after the first cycle, and purifier joints the following day.
Keep model and serial numbers, pre-delivery finish photographs, wall reinforcement and anchors, water and waste connections, levelling adjustments, initial-test videos, manuals, and warranties by appliance.
Timing and records
Allow about 4 to 8 hours, depending on appliance count, access, wall mounting, and plumbing. If several suppliers arrive together, agree the sequence and a safe place for packaging before work begins.
Retain photographs of floors and frames before and after delivery, appliance positions and door swing, wall fixings, water connections, initial tests, manuals, and warranties.
